Psy Ops and The Word of God

Revelation 1:1-3
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants — things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. NKJV

In my day of course, it was a former violent prisoner called ‘Fred Lemon’ who claimed that he had a life changing encounter with the risen Lord Jesus Christ, whilst in his cell in Dartmoor prison I believe. Now then, there is no question that God can do whatever He wants, and that includes appearing to people in dreams, in visions, and in Person even in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Maybe it is just with the advent of social media, I don’t know, but I hear more and more about the Lord Jesus Christ appearing in dreams speaking to Muslims in such a way that they find Christ as their Savior and convert to Christianity. Of course social media is also full of testimonies of similar dreams and visitations from the deity of Islam toward various backslidden Muslims, Christian missionaries, and even secular atheists, who in turn are then led to convert to Islam. If I was cynical, I would say the propaganda and psychological wars are heating up a little bit!

Now let me say this, it would appear that everybody who meets the Lord Jesus Christ in a dream gets saved! Therefore, if God so loved the world and wants to see everybody come to a knowledge of Him, then it seems obvious that the easiest way to do this and certainly for God this would be no problem, would simply be to carry out global dream evangelism where Christ Himself personally would appear to the nonbeliever, the unbeliever, and thoroughly save him. Surely, this is the very best form of evangelism? If, however, this dream visitation of evangelism from Jesus Christ to the global community would diminish Him in any way, then the vast amount of angelic beings, who instantaneously perform His bidding, could in turn carry out mass global dream and angelic visitation evangelism! Either of these two options are of course the very best way to evangelize a perishing world. I wonder why He is not doing it? Even so, my problem with this obvious methodology of totally successful Evangelism is in fact threefold:

First of all, dare I say it, Jesus Christ is not doing a very good job of global dream evangelism at the moment and neither are His servants the angels, for out of nearly 7 billion people on the planet it would appear that it’s just a handful of, shall we say interesting folk, who get these divine visitations to be saved. Now, again for sure, God is Sovereign and can have mercy on whom He will have mercy. Even so, if His desire is that none should perish, then this assured methodology of delivering salvation is very poorly practiced and is totally underutilized.

Secondly, I also note that this form of direct visitation and dream evangelism appears to be even utilized by Christian cults, and non-Christian major world religions. Upon comparison of the two, it seems to be being utilized quite successfully by heretics! Consider Islam or maybe Mormonism to name but two, who both appear to be growing in an extraordinary way since their foundation through dreams and visitation and through the continual amount of small converts which come to them through the same means. Of course, if there is a long-lasting and global battle between light and darkness which is based upon truth or error then we can expect such subconscious and psychological warfare. Maybe that’s what this is?

Finally, I note that this kind of dream evangelism falls outside of the direct commands of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the gospel to every creature, one human mouth to one human ear, one human heart to another human heart, and also that the foundation of all salvation is based upon a belief and confession of the received word of God.

Friends, I do not discount the fact that people of today may have valid dreams from the Lord, and visitations from angels, and even visits from Christ Himself. Neither do I discount the fact that people today may even today have the opportunity to ascend into the heavens and see the Lord seated upon His throne, for God can do whatever He pleases and can have mercy upon whom He will have mercy and bestow favor upon whoever He wishes. Nevertheless, the stories of similar visitations are not unique to Christianity.

However, and mark this well, highlight it, underscore it and get it tattooed on your right arm, the gospel of Jesus Christ is unique to Christianity. The word of God, upon which we base every ounce of our faith and belief is a blood bought document which we must eat and which we must know and which we must proclaim. Christian! Your faith is founded upon the written word of God, and without that, you have nothing!

So then, the amount of time you spend in the word of God, the amount of time you spend eating the word of God, the amount of time you spend singing the word of God, yes indeed, how much you know of it, how much you practice it, even how little you know of it, and how little you practice it, are all evidences of how much you truly appreciate your salvation and your God.

Maybe we need to stop dreaming, and start getting into the word of God and start proclaiming it to one and all, and then actually follow the commands of Jesus Christ by making disciples.

Listen:- He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. Revelation 19:13 NKJV

Pray: -  Father, in dreams and visions speak even to me, even today. Father, in providences and the unseen and seen angelic visitations of Your ministering servants, comfort, direct and protect me, even today. But Oh my God! Give me such a hunger for Your Word that whether bitter or sweet, whether with smiles or with cries, aid me to consume it, for the betterment of my whole being and the glory of Your wonderful name. Amen and let it be so.

Sep | 04 | The coming destruction of the religion of Secular Humanism

COURAGE

The coming destruction of the religion of Secular Humanism

1 Timothy 1:12-17
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. NKJV

Without the direct intervention of God in both the revival of His church, followed quickly by the conviction and the conversion of the masses of these islands, the saints of God shall be soon most seemingly sidelined all the more, whilst being continually and disdainfully pushed to one side, as the rising Giants of Islam and the religion of Secular Humanism finally meet head-to-head and horn to bloody horn.

As the church has failed to slay the priests of this secular Baal and allowed its prophets to run roughshod over the saints with the vilest of foul abuse spurting even in the face of God from their green frog demonic driven mouths all full of devilish drivel, whilst all the while deifying all their current but passing physical Kings, now God Himself is sending a judgement in the form of a whirlwind from the North that shall destroy them both these battling giants together.

The Kings of Secular Humanism are the atheist and anti-God scientists, those physicists of futility that make bold and sweeping all encompassing universal judgments and assertions, which in God’s ears simply sound like the silent squeal of a pierced maggot wriggling on a pinhead just before it dies, snatched from life and swallowed by the Shepherd of all men even death itself.

The Prophets of Secular Humanism are of course the anti-God atheistic media, the absolute-less useless propagators of multi-faith niceness and the every-way and no way 'dark pathway' away from the Father of Lights. These prophets detest the one-;way claims of Christ; these prophets destroy the hope of millions, these prophets despise the once great heritage of a once great nation now gone so very wrong.

The Priests of Secular Humanism are of course the anti-God comedians of the present day. The funnymen with the fire of disdain flashing from their fangs. The foul blasphemers that can tell Almighty God to ‘F off’ on a daily basis, publicly, and with no restraint, even to a thousand, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, even millions of people! These are the priests that wrap up all forms of deviancy in a delightful little ditty and mock sobriety with the smirks of hell. These are the ones that lead the worship of filth in the needle scarred nightclubs of all our nations fornicating nights, in justify the self serving abominations of all our aborted mornings.

I tell you, a whirlwind of scything knives is about to hew secular humanism and leave it in pieces on the blood soaked sand.

Christian, may I advise you that Christ is not returning to rule the nations with a rod of iron. No indeed, Christ is already ruling the nations with a rod of iron! Christ is the judge of the whole earth and is judging the nations even today. It is the responsibility of every Christian under the command of Christ to proclaim the revelation of the God of the Bible and therefor of the so great a grace that is found in the sacrifice of the son of God poured for a perishing humanity on the blood soaked sand beneath the cross itself. Here is the only place of safety in this coming and violent storm. Therefore it is the responsibility of every Christian to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, and of His death for sinners of every creed and every color.

O quiet Christian, as the dark and grumbling war clouds gather in the distance and the silent lightening touches down beyond the dimming horizon, why do your lips remain so still? Listen: I take, O cross, thy shadow for my abiding place; I ask no other sunshine than the sunshine of his face; content to let the world go by, to know no gain nor loss, my sinful self my only shame, my glory all the cross. Pray: Beneath the cross of Jesus, I fain would take my stand, the shadow of a mighty rock within a weary land; a home within the wilderness, a rest upon the way, from the burning of the noontide heat, and the burden of the day. Upon that cross of Jesus mine eye at times can see the very dying form of One who suffered there for me; and from my stricken heart with tears two wonders I confess: the wonders of redeeming love and my unworthiness.

Sep | 02 | 16 Benefits of good separation

CONNECT

16 Benefits of good separation

John 17:22
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: NKJV

He said: “With 16 food banks in my city how dare we say that Christian unity is leading the way? 16 separate churches, 16 separate organizations, 16 separate fundraising appeals, 16 separate charities set up, 16 separate missions, ministries, outreaches, 16 separate helps to the poor all doing the same thing, and all completely separate!”

May I say that I believe the search for practical Christian unity this side of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is an impossibility and is therefore a waste of time. Therefore, to abandon the cause of Christian unity is neither an attempt to negate this prayer of Jesus Christ, nor an attempt to try and remove it of its own efficaciousness and power, nor is it a suggestion of ts never being answered! No, the abandonment of the search for Christian unity will quite simply save money, heartache, harm, energy, and further disruption to Christian congregations.

In addition to this, is historical precedent of the proof that the push for Christian unity does not force all of us towards Christian orthodoxy, but rather, forces the definite compromising of the essentials of Christian doctrine. To stop this happening alone, means that there is therefore greater safety in separation.

Does this mean that I am propagating division amongst the churches by saying this? By no means. On the contrary, I want to promote the right kind of Christian unity and I believe the very best display of Christian unity, with integrity, is seen in that ‘no strings attached’, succor, support, and steadfastness that the compromise a fake unity can never bring.

Be assured of this, that there is no division of Christ, nor with Christ, nor in Christ! Indeed, we are all one in Christ Jesus. This is a spiritual oneness that only will manifest itself in a material oneness when the material Christ places His feet back on this planet. Until then, let us consider that the Word of God by His almighty power might just be sustaining the separation of things that need to remain separate. Even good things.

What I am about to say is maybe an enigmatic paradox. However, “I believe it is time for Christians not to promote division but rather, by embracing separation with integrity, to promote true Christian unity.”
v Here are 16 benefits of good separation for your consideration:

1. Separation allows the full expression of distinctives’ and diversities.
2. Separation allows fighting to be done on a multitude of fronts.
3. Separation allows for true love, true compassion, and true comradery, rather than that which is forced and given out of compulsion.
4. Separation allows for challenge without protection and politics.
5. Separation stops cancer spreading quickly.
6. Separation allows for further and wider separation where necessary and yet still allows for life to continue in those that are separated.
7. Separation does not make way for popes.
8. Separation allows for the possibility of more leaders being raised up.
9. Separation allows for the creation of new spiritual endeavors and the rise of other entrepreneurial spiritual exploits that need to be birthed and to exist often times outside of the present family and borders of a current confinement.
10. Separation allows for the birth of temporary ‘structures’ and more especially for the easy death of the same without the collapse of the whole body.
11. Separation allows for immigrant cross-pollination, and by that I mean that it allows for Saints to travel and to become embedded in those other organizations which would give them life rather than death.
12. Separation allows for intelligent complexity and speedier adaptability in an ever-changing world whose fighting fronts and borders shift and morph so very quickly.
13. Separation allows for the rise of the fragrance of freshness. It eliminates the problem of a continual staleness.
14. Separation fosters a spirit of adventure and of pioneering.
15. Separation allows for the preservation of orthodoxy.
16. Separation makes way for the cultural fit of families, tribes, tongues and nations.

There is one Lord, one faith and one baptism, but friends we do not all ride in a one-horse open sleigh just yet! And we need to thank God for that, especially in days like these.

Listen:- ess, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:1-6 NKJV

Pray: -  Father, grant us that generosity of spirit that true unity brings so that Lord, through all the safeties of right separation coupled with true integrity, your church would be made to prosper and to grow on every front that Your Holy Spirit directs. Amen and let it be so.

Sep | 01 | The crying need for some No-Nonsense Words

PRAISE

The crying need for some No-Nonsense Words

Ephesians 5:18-19
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. NKJV

Thomas Dekker wrote the poem entitled ‘Sweet Content,’ with the two stanzas ending with that Elizabethan filler phrase: “Hey nonny nonny, hey nonny nonny!” The lines of this poem are in fact the lyrics to ‘The Bakers’ Song’ from his play, ‘Patient Grissel’, and all the ‘Hey Nonnys’ therein might simply be compared to the ‘Fal la la lalas of ‘Deck the halls with boughs of Hollies,’ or even the ‘Doowap Dowaddy’ songs of the 1950’s and so forth. In other words: Nonny Nonny are filler words, indeed, they are nonsense words. Much like Nanoo Nanoo. Not brilliant at all really. Just nonsense.

I recently completed reading the latest biography of great American evangelist DL Moody and noted again his association with his musical sidekick Sankey. There is no doubt that this great hymn writer, this song and lyric Master did much with words and music to unite not just Britain and America in the worship of the one true God but all English-speaking peoples of the world. Make no mistake about it, congregation and communal singing unite people in praise and prayer and pathos.

It is imperative then that the content of our Christian sung songs are thoroughly biblical words and themes, not unlike the Psalms which will reach into every part of our lives and pull forth the prayer and praise and pathos that life has laid up therein. Unfortunately this is not the case and the fact is that the devil has divided us with music! The devil has belittled us with impoverished lyrics. The devil has separated us communal ignorance regarding knowledge of the words of some great spiritual songs. The answer to these discordant and disconnected singing is threefold:

First of all we need to have a new and public common book of hymns and spiritual songs. Multimedia full screen presentations will not do. We need to have books in our hands, books that can slip into our pockets or our handbags. The power grid might not always be with us. Secondly, old and new spiritual biblically bursting songs need to be taught to our children when we come together in Sunday services and the books that contain them need holding in our hands at house groups and put on tables at all our old people’s homes. The removal of the common hymnology from these islands of Britain have been part of its downfall and the substitution of nonsense words have filled the vacuum that was left with nothing but nonsense and mockery. They are mostly rye crisp breads, low in calories, low in carbohydrates, low in fat, low in energy, low in substance, low in sustenance, and very low in vitality!

Thirdly, note that the multimedia industry and those that want fame and fortune on the back of hey nonny knows will not go away. However, as long as they do not become the main Sunday meal, then I suppose a little bit of sugar might not do is to much harm after all? The time is coming when hymns will need to be sung at midnight. I wonder though, if we will have any hymns to sing? In light of this, I counsel you now to learn some great spiritual songs. Both for yourselves and for other in the time of captivity.

Listen:- It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your loving-kindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night, Psalms 92:1-2 NKJV

Pray: - Alone, O Lord I praise Your holy name. Yes, even if it is from the depths I cry to you, I still say: Lord you are very great: come and save me. Yes, even if it is from the heights with the shining ones clearly seen on the ramparts of the celestial city, even if it is from the delectable Mountains or the Jasmine fragrance of all the honeysuckled golden yellow bows of Beulah land, I say: O God, You are very great: come and save me. Yet, how I yearn to be with the multitude on the holy day, where together we can sing Your praise together, becoming but one voice in declaring: O Lord, You are very great: come and save us!

KEYWORD

The prophet’s penthouse

Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. NKJV

The seer of the Lord with expectant faithfulness positions himself in the place of receiving an answer. He will ‘set himself on the rampart’ that is, just like Miriam watched from the shore of the Nile to see what would happen to the baby Moses, so Habakkuk would watch to see the redemption of the remnant from the  river of judgment. Yes, like the grown man Moses would later stand before Pharaoh and deliver bondage breaking command of the Lord, so Habakkuk would stand before the King of Kings, even the Royal court of the prayers of his supplication and wait for an answer.

Habakkuk then, in his heart, set himself in a particular position to receive from the Lord. He was on the shores of deliverance; He was in the Royal courts of the great King. Watchman of God! How about you then? Have you set your faithful and expectant feet in the same ground as Habakkuk? Have you withdrawn from all distraction to turn your eyes inward to the high temple place of the Spirit of the Lord within you? Have you ascended the inner heights? Have you risen above anxiety? Have you left the yapping dogs of temporal demands and the daily distractions beneath you? Are you above the general disdain for all things unseen? Have you come apart, come alone, come expectant to serve and wait on God? Are you yet above the clamor? Are you yet above the crowd? Are you yet above the hand clapping and the back patting yet? Are you above the mere men below and now alone and exposed only to God on high?

Whether rampart, wall or tower, Habakkuk was alone, watching and waiting on the Lord, looking for a runner to appear on all the high inner hills of his looking, waiting for that messenger from heaven to appear on the horizon of his watching soul, and when seen, mark well now, when seen, to quickly welcome his arrival and receive the heavy breathed out message so heaving and heart pumpingly powerfully delivered into his being. For when the runner from heaven is seen, the message shall be delivered quickly, imminently, instantly, immediately. Yes, when a message is once seen in the distance, it is often then delivered speedily and with heaving force upon the face of the watching heart. It is seen and heard, but mostly it is felt, yes, it is received in your bosom like a hit from a charging linebacker.

Habakkuk had made his complaint and laid out his questions before the Lord. He cared not whether he would be rebuked. He minded not if he might be chastened. These were not the issues. He was in the loving hands of his heavenly Father and whether God’s answer was soft or sharp, it was God’s answer he was most earnestly looking for.

The prophet waits with faithful expectancy, willing to receive whatever God may say. Man of God. I say, man of God! Are you doing the same tonight?

Listen:- Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens.  Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us.  Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.  Our soul is exceedingly filled With the scorn of those who are at ease, With the contempt of the proud. Psalms 123 NKJV

Pray: -  I am faithful to my calling O God. I do not waiver, neither do I doubt. I have ascended my high hill O Lord. I am watching, I am waiting, I am ready. Speak Lord in the stillness, while I wait on thee, hushed my heart to listen, in expectancy. Amen.
