Luke 14:28-31 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it — lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, “This man began to build and was not able to finish.” NKJV
Gestation Times
From conception to birth, the gestation period for a human being is around nine months. Of course the gestation time varies greatly in God’s other creation, from 33 days in rabbits to 600-660 days in elephants. In any event, there are definite time differences between conception, full formation and the following birth. It has been my observations that the same is true for ideas. All ideas have conception, but all ideas need formation before fruitful birth. Often, trying to bring good ideas, even great ideas to birth before proper formation leads inevitably to still births; abortions.

From this night onwards, when a good idea, when a great idea is conceived in your head and heart, don’t start pushing straight away! Let it lay a while, let it gestate in a prayerful and protective environment. Prepare for its arrival, make provision for its support, plan thoroughly for its implementation. If you do this, then it shall take even greater shape in your womb and have a greater chance of arrival when it is given birth to.
132 feet below the English Channel, shortly after 11 a.m. today in 1990, workers drilled an opening the size of a car through a wall of rock. This hole connected the two ends of an underwater tunnel linking Great Britain with the European mainland for the first time in many thousands of years. A birthed idea, had received a giant slap on the 'heiny' and began to scream itself into life.
From now on then, why not make sure your gestation period gives every chance for your ideas to live! For remember, there is a time for everything.
Listen: - Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. Luke 14:30-33 NKJV
Pray: - Lord, help me to count the cost of all my ideas of Christian service, indeed, of all my many ideas. Then Lord, will you please bring to pass those which might live and also, will You come and help me in the bringing of these dreams to maturity, no matter what the cost and do it Lord for Your eternal glory. In Jesus name I pray, amen and amen!
