Dec | 03 | Miracle Aid

Dream Word – PROSPER

John 2:11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. NKJV

Miracle Aid

Like it or not, and many Christians will not, our text for today clearly shows a direct link between miracles, the glory of God and belief in Him!

These disciples, newly called to the ministry OF Jesus Christ, newly called to a ministry WITH Jesus Christ, enjoyed His 101 training, revelling no doubt even in His one-on-one training consequently and had heard His words most thoroughly. These words, these words of knowledge, these words of wisdom, these words of life, had ignited in them such a desirous passion that they had moved with watching and waiting wonder, along the road with Him. Yes, they were His men, yes, they were the growing posse of His possession and now, yes right now, over a few drinks and a couple of dances, they would become the believing people of His power!

Words, even Bible words, are simply not enough to walk along the road with Jesus. Now before you cry me down as an heretic, you need to know that even our Lord Jesus testified to that fact, indeed, even the Word itself testifies that of itself! Words are not enough. What is written, what is said, must cause people to take up their bed and walk, or else we who are already walking, we who are already watching and we who are already waiting, might just stop believing! Indeed, we will never even begin to truly and consistently believe unless we see the miraculous. Yes, miracles are necessary to the glory of God among us and necessary to our belief! I know that sounds heretical to some of you, but never the less, it’s true.

I have observed that where the belief in the present practice of miracles has ceased, where the acknowledgement of miracles is simply within the confinement of a very short period of time after the resurrection of Christ and the death of apostles, that there is a grey sickness that settles upon such folk, leaving many of them granite like in both face and heart. Furthermore, where miracles are never seen, they cease to be expected and the Word itself becomes but dark type, set on powerless pieces of paper and the practitioners and even the preachers of such powerless words, will even themselves eventually leave the fold and I tell you, for I have seen it, they shall leave disappointed, they shall leave distraught, they shall leave disconsolate, they shall even leave destroyed. Yes, we must have miracles for our day, for this day!Now having said that, let me tell you folks, that miracles are like Chinese food. They are monosodium glutimately tasty, they are fulfilling, they are satisfying, they are definitely of some nutritional value but I tell you what, in just such a short time, you are going to want another and then another and yet another! Miracles are tasty, miracles are the vitamins of the healthy spiritual life of faith and very necessary, but by themselves, they are insufficient in nutritional value to sustain the consistent spiritual life.

In the end then, our belief and hope, though validated by the miraculous, must be as thoroughly rooted in the Word of God, as was the belief of these early disciples. Yet nevertheless, here in Cana of Galilee, God the good puts feats to His Words and in so doing, He is glorified and the disciples are believing, even believing in this very particular and strengthened way, and that, for the very first time.

Some of you tonight, are also for the very first time, waiting to believe in such a way. May God grant you such a miraculous feast both tomorrow and the next day and many times thereafter, amen.

Listen: - For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV
Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3-4 NKJV

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 2 Corinthians 6:3-10 NKJV

Pray: - Lord, may the dynamite of Your Word explode in our lives tomorrow. In mighty miracles of marvellous testimony, come turn all our water into wine so that our hearts may be gladdened once more, in Your great name I pray, amen!
