Aug | 21 | The Sweet Sauce of God

Dream WordHAPPY

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. NKJV.

The Sweet Sauce of God

At the time of writing this 'Whisper', I had been in the U.S.A. for over five years. Unlike my home country of England, I found it incredibly cheap to ‘eat out’ over there at the time. Indeed, due to this comparative cheapness of eating out, in my observation, compared to the home family food factories of Britain and Europe, most American home kitchens are virtually redundant!

However, on the whole and in my humble opinion, food though far more expensive, tastes so much more better in the old country. I say this with two highly notable exceptions, and those are steaks of any kind and ‘Omaha Steak's, Gourmet Steak and Chop Sauce in particular!’ This rich, brown 'to die for' delicacy, is better than anything I have ever tasted and I tell you, if your were to pour it on dry cardboard, you would give thanks both before and after the sumptuous chewy delicacy you had just been enabled to most eagerly consume.   I am thrilled to assure you tonight dear friends, that along with chocolate, British brewed beer, Cornish Pasties and Heinz Baked Beans; ‘Omaha Steak's, Specialty Gourmet Steak & Chop Sauce’ will indeed be on the menu in heaven. Thank you Jesus, for this most magnificent word of knowledge tonight! Mmm, Mmm!

Some of you tomorrow, may well have to do some cardboard crunching! Some of you tomorrow, may well have to consume some most distasteful of situations. Some of you tomorrow, may well have to sit down with heathens and eat monkey brain. In all your unwanted eating of the morrow, may I call to mind those prophetic words of Julie Andrews that proclaim most correctly to us that, “A spoon full of sugar” does indeed, “make the medicine go down, in the most delightful way!”

In all seriousness, I do believe that some of the ‘ways of escape’ spoken of in our text for this evening, can often manifest themselves when God makes our messes more than manageable, even edible, by applying His very own ‘Omaha Steaks, Special Gourmet Steak and Chop Sauce’ to the most unpalatable of situations.

Did you forget that God is in the business of making the bitter taste sweet? Remember for tomorrow then, that some ways of escape are made manifest most especially, when God makes sweet, the bitter tastes of life.

Listen:- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalms 34:8 NKJV

Pray:- Father God, throw the sweet Jesus tree into all my bitter waters and then tomorrow make them sweet to me. In His sweet name I pray, amen!
