2 Timothy 3:7,8 .. always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Among the multitude of ostentatious observations attributed to Mark Twain, especially this time of year when students return to their places of education, prompts the remembrance of one of his most quotable of quotes:- “I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” With nodding head and shaking smiles I have tell you today, that God will not allow your schooling to interfere with His education of you either!

The continuance of rapacious and rampant change in our society forces us to always be ‘in school.’ As we proceed towards the end of the age, we shall be ever learning, and for millions, we shall still be never able to come to a real knowledge of the truth. Our text today may have been written hundreds of years ago, but it’s roots are in tomorrow and maybe as you read this, are now even in your perilous today, for our secular schooling system is now indeed anti-God, it is anti-Christian, it is anti-Christ! For the moment, it is still OK to say that out loud! We worry and rightly so, about the dreadful influence that such a philosophy of education has on our children. How can God ever work amongst so much anti-Christian propaganda?

Well the truth for all of us is that unless God comes and opens our eyes, unless God comes and uncorks our ears, those that are lost can never learn enough to know the truth. Never! We need to see the simple and horrific fact of this. God must act to open hearts before any knowing can be accomplished. Got it? God must act to open hearts before ANY knowing can be accomplished. Selah.Child of God, let me tell you this: no form of indoctrination or deceit, no choice of education and direction will stop Him learning His elect. Those chosen to know the Lord, shall know the Lord. In any age and especially at the end of the age, God will not allow schooling to interfere with the education of His children.

Listen:- But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:1-7

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Hebrews 12:3-8 NKJV

Pray:- Lord. Teacher. I am enrolled in Your school and my colours are black and blue. Please dear Jesus, let nothing be wasted in my pursuit of knowing You and in Your pursuit of knowing me. Amen.
