Mar | 10 | God is Still A Poet and He's Wearing a Construcition Hat

Dream Word – HAPPY

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. NKJV

God is Still A Poet and He's Wearing a Construction Hat

Is the core of the Father, is the father’s heart, scientific or artistic? Well tonight I have the answer for you and I am pleased to tell you that in His essence, at His heart, God is indeed an artist and a very particular one at that! I know, what a statement! It’s astounding isn’t it?!

Never the less, the Scriptures are quite clear, for in our text for tonight the ‘workmanship’ of God could be translated as the ‘POEM’ of God. Indeed, the only other place this word is used is in Romans 1:20, where God says, For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,” in other words, the creation of the world is His science on the move but ‘the things that are made,’ are His poetry, if you will, His science fashioned in His loving artistic, poetical and loving hands, yes, that is the meaning of ‘the things that are made!’ So a better translation maybe, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the poetry, or by the poem, or by the full poetic works!” Let me say this then now, bothscience and sanctification are the chariots in the which the poetry of God both rides and resides. Hallelujah!

A poem is very simply, a fabrication of powerful words that forms itself into an emotional reality, a living entity even, a moving being, if you will, a shining sun in spiral star systems, all whirling around the plug hole of an invisible, all-sucking blackness; a centipede, a millipede, a bumblebee that should not fly, feeding on the nectar, hid down the fluted shuts of flowers, in showers of rain, where the wine stain of crushed blueberries, drips on the thigh of sighing women in the arms of their muscular lovers, panting over them in desire; in fire, in wind, in water and the wet, wet earth, in mirth and smiling faces, in chocolate coloured puppies that chase their tails, in whales, spurting blow holes, in moles beneath the ground, in a blood hound’s brown and crinkled nose, in the rich and red and ragged all-unfolding rose, Gods workmanship performs its poetic prose with sighs. For even under the sourness of our grey and fallen skies, God is still a poet.

I want to tell you tonight that you are the poem of God, a constructed and dancing piece of prose Divine, all ready to be spoken on the heavenly stage and I tell you, what a performance that will be!

Listen: - My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalms 45:1 NKJV

Pray:-Jesus! You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever. Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty, and in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The peoples fall under You. Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions. All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad. (Psalms 45:2-8 NKJV
