Title:- Dooms-Day ‘Date Rape’
Acts 5:36-38 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed.
There is nothing new under the sun, including the prevalence of false prophets. They are scary enough in themselves, but even more disconcerting and frightening are the numerous people who by deception, desperation and deprivation, follow these lunatics, these ravenous wolves, these wandering stars, in their droves!Today is the anniversary of the Jonestown massacre of 1978 which involved the mass suicide over 900 people. It is one of many highly publicized incidents of false prophets and doomsday cults with death on their mind. I have no problem in attributing these things to demonization, especially that of the leaders.
The advent of ‘Postmodernism’, where the only real truth is your own truth, the only valid narrative is your narrative, your story, in my mind, leads us to seeing even more of these kind of incidents in the coming years. False prophets, ravenous wolves, clothed initially in gentleness and affability, will be on the increase. Empowered by demons they shall exhibit great shows of power and many lying wonders. The keyword that shall attend their ‘feasting’ shall be deception. Jesus says, “watch out, this deception shall be so thorough that even the elect may be taken in!”
Jesus has clearly warned us that these people shall come and shall deceive, never the less, they shall be able to be recognized by their fruit. Now here’s the rub: what kind of fruit should we be looking for ? Shockingly, I need to tell you today that the fruit we shall see in false prophets is one of rape!
Friends, these false prophets are in the end violent rapists. They rip and tear and rob people of what is rightfully theirs. They rape people of their judgment, their emotions, their personality, their family, their self worth, their dignity and especially their goods. For sure friends, the false prophet’s message may sound all lovely and gentle at first, or righteous and revolutionary even, just what you’ve been longing for, you know? But in the end, the deceit will take from you and if needs be, shall rip from you and publicly rape what is rightfully yours, as if you had been easily drugged, deadened and dreadfully deceived in the seemingly nice nectar of a deceitfully spiked date rape. The carnage shall be such that those raped in such a manner shall appear to have been devoured by wolves.
Watch out for oversized eyes and noses today, even if they lay under your Grandma’s bonnet. If you see a flash of sharp and glittering whiteness amidst the glitzy smile, then be assured that it's his razor-edged carnivorous teeth you see and at some point, it will be lunchtime!
In all your journeying friends, don’t forget the common sense God gave you and remember His warnings regarding the rise of these clever and predatory religious monsters.

Do men gather grapes from thorn-bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20
Pray: - Jesus, keep me strong in You and in Your absolute truth; make me an assured person, rooted in Your Word and bold to speak out against the sight of fangs. In your great name I pray, amen.
