Dream Word – FIGHT
James 1:15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. NKJV
Rightly Using Conception Control, Abortion & Infanticide
Of course abortion and infanticide are the great mass murder sins of our generation. Of course I am against them in every single way. Bodily conception control is an altogether different animal however and the how’s and the wherefore's are open, I believe, both to discussion and to faith. However, I do believe totally in spiritual conception control, spiritual abortion and spiritual infanticide. Let me tell you why.
Our text for tonight, first talks about the copulation between temptation and desire, the product of which is always the terrible twins of sin and death. Now in the body, the very best form of contraception is sexual abstinence, indeed, there is no better condom. So, in the same way, the very best form of spiritual contraception is abstinence. It’s a no brainer really, when temptation comes then , ABSTAIN! When temptation comes, then run like hell! Run in your heart, run in your mind, and if necessary, run in your body and even if you have to fly away naked. RUN!
If however, spiritually speaking of course, you have done the big naughty, then my friend, you have gone and gotten yourself all knocked up with sin! You don’t need a spiritual pregnancy test here, you don’t need to wait and see if the monthly menstruation fails to appear, for when temptation copulates with desire, you will be pregnant with the twins of sin and death. GUARANTEED! There is only one option here and that is spiritual abortion. Kill sin. Rip it out of your spiritual womb like the alien menace it is. How? Well, you must confess it to death and then ruin it with repentance. This is the only way to abort sin.
If you have failed to have this spiritual abortion, then the consequences of your copulation will naturally both appear and grow. Remember now that I am speaking spiritually here, for I need to tell you that this birthed sin, can never give you life. It is in effect and you will indeed find it to be so, always holding the hand of it’s twin brother whose name is Death! And death to you especially. In very real terms then, many of us have given birth to monsters that give us death each day, by in one form or another, sucking the very life of the spirit out of us. These terrible toddlers must needs be killed and preferably before they ever grow to their vast, heart sucking stature. How? Well first remember that I am spiritually speaking here, for you must now separate yourself from these monstrous objects, yes, you must leave them alone, especially, you must not feed them. Yes, you must ignore their screams, ignore their cries and simply let them die. Better still though, if you can, for my oh my, how we cosset our sins, if you can, you must take them by their legs and smash them all to pieces. When dealing with birthed and growing sin our lives, there must be no mercy.
Let us turn our desire to God then and not copulate with temptation. Let us keep our mouths shut, our ears open and our legs not spread open wide but rather, kept together, walking and moving forward, firmly stepping upon the commandments of the King along His Holy and narrow way.
Listen: - Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 1:21-25 NKJV.
Pray:- Lord, help me to be a vessel of golden silver in Your house and so swill out all the refuse from around my rims, purging myself under the running water of Your Word. So make me honourable, sanctified, ready for Your most glorious use, prepared for every good and life giving work. In Jesus name I ask it, amen!
