Feb | 13 | Solid, Steadfast & Sure

Key Word:- CONSIDER

Title:- Solid, Steadfast & Sure.

Acts 1:16 “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, ..."

Oliver Reed, British film actor, was born today in 1938. He appeared in over a hundred movies, spanning more than forty years. His most notable role, and the one in which he died, was that of 'Proximo' the Roman trainer of ‘Gladiators’ turned 'good', in the film of the same name. As that character, his most quoted and notable phrase is his comment and observation on the human condition, “We are all shadows and dust. Shadows and dust”

Shadows pass, as day turns into night. Stone, eventually weatherworn, turns to dust and is blown away even by a faint summers breeze; and concerning mankind, the Apostle Peter, quoting Isaiah the prophet, says “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the LORD endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24, 25a
In light of the decay all around us, in our mouth, in our rheumatoid lower back, in our grey hair, in the creaks of all our joints, in the wrinkles, in the darkness and bags underneath our eyes, we need to see the eternal contrast, the infinite contradiciton, written in frames of eternal silver again and again. You know? “The WORD of the LORD ENDURES forever!” Yes, the abiding quality of the pronouncements of God can never be eroded. They are as solid and sharp, as powerful and penetrating, as they ever were. They are indeed living words, Spirit words, having an eternal quality and an ever-present propensity. These words shall most certainly accomplish their pronouncements. Because of this, men and brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled and frankly, it could do no other than be fulfilled! It could not fail! It had to come to pass and it did! And it will! It will, it will, it will, it will, it will, it will, it will, it will, it will,….

Now tell me what has His Word been saying to you just lately? It’s time to take up the Kingly and unfailing sword of God’s Word and fight!

Listen: - Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. 1 Thess 5:23-24,

Pray: - Lord, Your Word fulfill, in, and over me in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
