Apr | 10 | Yoga, & Other Twisted Games

Key Word:- POWER

Title:- Yoga, and Other Twisted Games

John 18:37-38 Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?"

Ken Blaclock in his review of Dr Tucker Calloway’s book, ‘Zen Way- Jesus Way’, accuses him and all born-again Christians who claim to know the Truth, as committing “A sin at the altar of philosophy” and he goes on to say that “Meaningful dialogue is only possible when dogmatic thinking is put aside.” May I offer what I consider an experiential translation of this very Eastern and yet Postmodern point of view? Here it is, “It is a sin of utter arrogance to claim to know the truth. It is intolerance incarnate. It is offensive. It is death to dialogue.” The absolutes of the Bible are absolutely not allowed in any inter-faith dialogue.

You see, Postmodern Pilgrims pleasure themselves on Pilate’s pontificating, munching on it as a meaningful meditative morsel and regurgitating it, until it becomes as anemic and as ineffective in providing direction and help, as it was to the man himself who first posed the question, just before a multitude saw him wash his hands of the very life blood of the answer to his pre-post-modern query of, “What is truth?”.

Christ never commanded his disciples to participate in a ministry of dialogue! He armed His followers with authority and power and sent them on a deliverance mission into enemy territory to plunder the strong man’s goods. How are we doing friends, as we consume CafĂ© Grande’s by the bucket-load in communal coffee houses adjacent to hot Yoga Studios springing up in all the hip and happening places of this not so happy land of ours? A few lines from the Dave Matthew’s Band song ‘The Space Between’, maybe sums up well the expressions of all the fretting and frowning furrows of Western questioners, that have almost dialogued themselves to death and still not found what they have been looking for:

“These fickle, fuddled words confuse me.
Like ‘Will it rain today?’
Waste the hours with talking, talking.
These twisted games we’re playing”

Let’s get real friends, for in the space between all the talking, the words of Christians alone, only make the sound of one hand clapping in the ears of Postmodern Pilgrims. For there is no thunder in our voice and no lightening in our living, nor any more longing in our looking! We do not seek a better country, for frankly, we like the one we have here, thank you very much indeed. No, the once valued possession of our words have been in recession, a long, long time.

I speak only for myself when I say, unless what I claim to possess is manifest in my life, it will not mean a fig to Postmodern Pilgrims, for its not defensive dialogue that will convince them, nor anemic apologetic, but a real demonstration of unquestioning resurrection power which is unrelentingly manifest in our lives. Walkers of the Way should tingle with Truth and overflow with Life, because they possess, and are possessed by Him who is indeed, the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

Deliverance is the answer and not dialogue, but if we do not have the goods of our deliverance, then how can we help them with theirs? Yes, until we have the goods, it is probably best to keep our cake-hole shut, lest we tire our listeners out with the sound of but one hand clapping.

How about you pilgrim? What’s in your rucksack?

Listen: - For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Cor 4:20

Pray: - Come in love. Come in gentleness, but come in resurrection Power, O Lord my God today, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Pushing a bit of dialogue here ;-).

I hear what your saying. Agree with the Authority. But quite honestly see Jesus as doing the opposite of what your saying. Truth himself sat and dialogued with sinners. In fact what is written is a small % of His ministry. My guess is that the greater dialogues are not written of. My point. Jesus is not Buddha and is not a guru but God in flesh. However God is not threatened by our ignorance or sin. He dwelt in its midst...

The greater question is when and how to take up our sword. The Sword lives in me and I ABIDE IN HIM...THIS IS NO DIALOGUE. As Peter learned with Jesus. More quickly would I believe we take up our cross.

Now, now...I am a revolutionary waiting for the revolution. I would love to stand capitalism in the face with God's people and say NO MORE. No more based on the Truth you speak of. Every day we volunteer captivity to a satanic system that oppresses our own souls along with the poor around the world. Why do we water the seeds of seduction. Modern man pleasures himself with the secular. A realm that is far more dangerous than pagan in the sense that we rule ourselves in it, making us much more like Cain who also knew God.

As a family, we are learning to live in this authority we speak of. Fruit born from Truth is far more powerful than words. Words without fruit, even if true are powerless. There lies the problem. Christians run around like Satan proclaiming truth but without fruit...bear FRUIT Bride! Do so by Abiding in your Groom...yes, then Truth will stand as light in this world we know is dark.

Peace my friend,

Ken

Hey Kenny bless you
You say :-"Agree with the Authority."
I reply :- OBEY the authority. (Jesus the Living Word, Jesus the written word)
You say :-"My GUESS is that the greater dialogues are not written of."
I reply :- You might be right, BUT it is a guess, a reasonable one maybe, BUT A GUESS and a subjective on at that. The authority of the word is declarative at its core. Let’s reason together, but dialogue, there is a difference.. Truth is once Post Moderns meet absolutes, there is NO DIALOGUE..no matter how humble you are they get offended at the declarative message and bugger off!
You say :-" However God is not threatened by our ignorance or sin. He dwelt in its midst... "
I reply :- NO he's not threatened by it, but he is offended by it and calls all men to repentance & not dialogue. Sin Cost the life of His Son.
You say :-" The greater question is when and how to take up our sword. The Sword lives in me and I ABIDE IN HIM...THIS IS NO DIALOGUE. As Peter learned with Jesus. More quickly would I believe we take up our cross.

I reply :- I am not sure what you are saying tell me more.

I reply :- Interesting Points but what has it to do with dialoguing post moderns as opposed to proclaiming truth?

I reply :- Word or Truth without Fruit is still truth. Tarnished my lack of fruit maybe but it still remains the truth. Fruit without the Word is nice, but empty. Voluptuous but empty. If it attracts hungry folk, good, but not to your fruit, to His Truth because of Your fruit, but to His fruit. God speaks through fruitless Donkeys most Sundays at many churches. New Testament Truth is PROCLOMATIONAL. It is challenging, it is moving people to choice, it is lovingly aggressive, and it is valuable. Let's make sure we exhibit what we proclaim in both anointing and fruitfulness. I rarely do. God help me. Never the less pitiful proclamation is better than dialoguing nowhere

Love ya Kenny
