Reception - The right of becoming

John 1:10-12
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: NKJV

Who can be saved? The whole world. Who shall be saved? As many as receive Him. To receive Christ, to believe in His name, is to internally with the heart and externally with the mouth, acknowledge Him as the promised Messiah; even, with repentance, to own Him as the ‘sent one’ who came as the victim that carries away the sins of the world. This ‘receiving’ repentance, then somehow conjoins with the goodness of God in regeneration, whereby, we are then legally adopted into His family, spiritually united with His Son, and also endued with both the Royal Family likeness and the great seal of the King of ages.

So then, we sinners all, even both the vile and the voluptuous in it all; we who are the heirs of all cursing; by seeing, by believing and by receiving with repentance, Jesus, the sacrificed once and for all Savior of the whole world, become instead the heirs to all blessing, and that, only through the grace of God which is found uniquely in His only begotten Son.

This side of heaven then, there is no greater position of privilege, nor of honor, nor of dignity nor of right, which can be bestowed upon a human being, that is, to be called a son of God. Remarkably, this is the right of all those who receive. Yet remember, it remains a privilege for us, yes, a great privilege which is freely granted to us who see with receiving belief. Now, we can speak of this reception as a privilege because we know from the whole counsel of God, that it is only through repenting that we can both believe and then receive salvation. Only redeemed convicted sinners feel the privilege of their standing in Jesus. Such a known privilege is marked by honor, humility and fear. I tell you, we don’t see too much of that on a Sunday morning do we, and my friends that should cause quite a few questions to be asked in the house.

So in summary therefore, as it is our Divine right as Kings to now be called the children of God. So, let us examine how we are living today then. Is it as a pauper or as a Prince? If then you are living as a pauper, if then dear Christian you are in the gutter, then I shout to you, “REPENT! Get up man! Chin up, chest out, shoulders back. Rise up now sister. Don’t wait! Let the beauty of holiness be found flowing across your shoulders, indeed, look in the mirror and see at last that loveliness of Jesus upon you. Be a King today then man, and woman, be a Queen! Stand up straight now brethren, for we are the real New World Order, we are the old bones come together and made alive from the dead, we are the washed spotless, pure and sinless ones. Now then, LET’S LIVE IT!”

Listen:- Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3 NKJV

Pray: -  Father, may the glories to come shine in our minds. Father, may the glories which are now, rise like the warm sun in our hearts and strengthen us to walk worthy of You in this dark world. Help us O Lord, to be seen as the sons of God, as fully human as we can be and as much like You as it is possible for us to be this side of heaven. Amen and amen.
