Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. NKJV

Enjoying The Best of Beers with Jesus The Thirst Quencher!

Some people drink to drown their sorrows, to numb the pain and to forget. Some people drink for relational inclusion, for the smoothing of a social awkwardness and the facilitating of relational dexterity. Some people drink to bathe in the social sunlight of that short window of nimble numbness before drunkenness takes a hold. Some people drink because they are thirsty and sometimes, but not too often, some people drink to live, yes some people drink because they are happy, because they are celebrating! I tell you tonight, that there is no more refreshing a drink, than a drink which celebrates life and bathes your lips in laughter to so stretch out your smiling jaws in joy!

It was the ‘Bursting Forth’ - The Gihon spring, that fed the waters to the pool of Siloam, the pool of peace and quiet rest. It was from this same pool that on the eighth day, the day of Holy convocation, the day of the solemn assembly, yes, on that last great day of the Feast of  Tabernacles, that the priests in procession, accompanied by psalms of joy and sounding trumpets, would take a golden vial filled with water and mixed with wine, and pour it on the sacrifice of the alter. I wonder if it was here, at that high priestial pouring, that Jesus , the High Priest of Heaven, stood and cried out concerning the Spirit whom those believing in Him would receive, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37b-39a NKJV)

In the Scriptures, wells, streams, fountains, rivers, springs, are all used as being emblematic of the abundant fullness and richness, of all the mercies which God has provided to the needs of the flock of His pasture. The idea in our text for tonight then, is that we should drink deeply of all the free mercies of salvation; of all the springing up, overflowing, refreshing waters of salvation, given to sojourning sons, pilgrimaging in a dry and thirsty land, even a parched land; and that we should drink of these with JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY!

I tell you tonight, that when God becomes the water source of our strength, of all our salvation and of all our songs of joy, then all our drinking shall be of the happy kind, bathing in His most bountiful of blessings, even in all the prosperity of the adopted son’s of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. In your heart, at the centre of your being is a day beyond the day of rest, it is an eighth day fountain of living water, bubbling up within you and flowing out of you! If it’s not happening folks, then ask for the Holy Spirit. If You have Him, then make sure He has you. If He has You, and there is still no happy flow, then unblock your wells, that springs of living water may gusher up within you.

Listen: - From there they went to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, "Gather the people together, and I will give them water." Then Israel sang this song: "Spring up, O well! All of you sing to it — the well the leaders sank, dug by the nation's nobles, by the lawgiver, with their staves." (Numbers 21:16-18 NKJV.)

Pray:- O LORD, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; 'For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.'" Therefore with joy we will draw water from the wells of salvation and tonight we sing, “Praise the LORD, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted.” Amen! (taken from Isaiah 12:1-4)
