Jan | 10 | The Problem of Hurrying Holy Hot Rodders.

Key Word:- BECOME

Title:- The Problem of Hurrying Holy Hot Rodders.

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

When your motor's running and your tires are hot and your hands sweat with anticipation on the hard gripped wheel, a red light that says “Stop and Wait,” is not what a ‘holy hot rodder’ wants to see. Good grief! What is wrong with NOW? I mean RIGHT NOW Lord! I'm a ready, oh yeah, yes sir, bring it on! 'Vrooom, Vroooooom!'

Over 40 days, while presenting his disciples with infallible proof of His resurrection, Jesus has also taught them further about the Kingdom of God filling them fit to bursting with itching anticipation, as the momentum of the previous months events seems to have become unstoppable! Yet, before His ascension into heaven, His final command is not yet to GO, but first to WAIT. Notice two things here then dear friends :-

1. Lean not to your own understanding. Even Jesus did not work to His own agenda. For example, the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel was on the Father’s timescale and even the time to deliver the ‘paracleted’ power needed to live fearlessly and successfully to God's glory; the sending of the Holy Spirit is what I am talking about, well, even the timing of that magnificent and momentous event was not His decision. It was after all, “the Promise of the Father.” Look at that. Take note. Some decisions are just not yours. Make peace with that fact and WAIT!

2. The command to WAIT, is often the most unwanted command, but often the best and always the safest. Trust that fact and learn to WAIT!
The devil’s earthly dungeons sometimes overflow with blind, shorn and fettered pilgrims; those who went out according to their own timescale, thinking they were strong and ready, only to find they had no real commissioned power. Be careful now, be very careful, for I wonder, are the most dangerous of times, the times when we believe we are ready? We have the gifts the callings the knowledge and the passion, yet we lack the most important thing of all, the commission!
WAIT for that commission from God and all its associated anointed power.

Listen: - I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! Psalm 27:13-14

Pray:- Lord, give me patience, and please, give it me now! I await on bended knee for my personal commission into Your great commission for me. Amen and amen.
