Title:- 'Change' - The Sure Sign of The Supernova
Acts 9:3-4 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
The light of God shone on and in Saul. He was not seeking it. Yet it came. Indeed, he was fighting against it! Yet it still came. The arrival of this light brought three things: -
1) An humbling collapsing. Saul fell to the ground, for he could not stand before the light.
2) An exploding opening. Saul began to hear the very voice of God
3) A brightly burning conviction. Saul was challenged regarding his most sinful actions.
‘Any of a class of violently exploding stars whose luminosity after eruption suddenly increases to millions or even billions of times its normal level is called a ‘Supernova.’ When this happens, amounts of exploding matter equal to the mass of several suns, may be blasted into space with such a burst of energy, that the new ‘supernova super star’ outshines its entire home galaxy.’ You see friends, with the death of the old sun, a new star system is born! All the old relational forces are gone, everything is new. EVERYTHING! Imagine that!
An explosion takes place upon the event horizon of Saul the hater of Jesus and the consequence of that vast explosion of light is that he now becomes Paul the lover of Jesus. This happens because Jesus the Son of God, is in fact , the Supernova of the Father! When the ‘Light of the World’ is manifest both to us and in us, nothing is the same again; NOTHING! Everything changes. Remember that.
Friend, this is the test of any true conversion; it is the the test of a real and dying change, that produces most extraordinary light. So let us test ourselves today. How’s your wattage today then friend, how’s your wattage?
Listen: - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Pray: - Lord, in me say the words, ‘Let there be light’ and so let me see and so let me shine for You. Lord, may I become the brightest star in the galaxy in which I am to be set by You, amen.
